Wow, we can hardly believe it's October already!!!! Time flies. We have had a great summer.
First things first, thanks to everyone who has asked about T. She is doing great! She's in full-day preschool and she's learning so much. I still see her on Saturdays and pick her up 2 days a week to watch her for 1.5 hours. Her Mom is working hard and we are so blessed that we have formed this crazy extended family with her. (She doesn't sit still...)
in front of our apartment:
making cupcakes for her Mom's birthday:
Both of us were able to have our sisters visit-- that was great!! See our updated list of visitors soon. We took Amber to the beach and Nathan went crazy like a little kid! He loved the sand and had a lot of fun!
Nathan still loves his job and I am now working for a nonprofit called Camfed (Campaign For Female Education). It's something I've always wanted to do.
Driving over the Bay Bridge at sunset: (Kasper's car! No, we still don't have a car and we LOVE it!)
Kasper just took a sweet job in here SF last week and he's living in our 2nd bedroom. The boys love to work on their computers together! (Yes, Nathan refuses to cut his hair...)
One of the coolest things Nathan and I did together this summer was to start a little garden. We are extremely lucky to have room to do this in our urban jungle-- although not much! Out our backdoor is an outdoor staircase that leads to the roof and fire escape. It gets moderate sun, so it's good for what we are growing!
Below, that's mint hanging on the left, spinach next to it, and cilantro in the little pots.
Here is some basil that we bought in rather a dead state but we are reviving!!
The view going down the stairs. More spinach in the long planter, more basil, and geranium flowers.
Ok, and check this out! We planted Sweet Pea vines that are going to get 5 feet tall! Look at the little home Nathan built them so they can climb....
Close up:
:) Come visit!
